The #1 Warhawks also added a victory Thursday night over Nicolet by a score of 16-0.
Vinny Inga led the offense with 3 hits and 6 RBI, while Alex Reinke, Ian DeMichiel and Evan Lauer each had multi-hit games for the Hawks. Carter Gordon crushed a 3-run HR that still hasn't landed, Lucas Frank picked up the victory and Brady Dospel came in to finish off the Knights. Congratulations and keep up the great work!
The boys' varsity golf team traveled to Hawthorne Hills for the WIAA Regionals. The steady rain didn’t dampen the Warhawks' play. The team got off to a steady start and was leading the entire way. Due to heavy rains and unplayable course conditions the WIAA canceled the back 9 and made it a 9 hole event with the Warhawks taking home the Regional title!
An impressive +1 over par 145 score! Leading the way was Reid Newkirk 35, Charlie Larson 36, Trevor Newkirk and Preston Filter 37 and Brendan Fredrickson 40.
Next up for the Warhawks is Sectionals at Old Hickory in Beaver Dam.
This week the girls JV team finished out their season on Tuesday night with a win against Pewaukee. The Warhawks won 2-1, goals were scored by Claire Kamyszek off a cross from Abby Humphriss and Bella Voss. The Pirates were able to get on the board in the 69th minute, but the girls were able to lock it down the last 10 minutes of the game. The JV team finished the year 12-2-1. Congratulations on a great season girls!!
On Tuesday night, the varsity team honored eight amazing seniors for Senior Night: Megan Grater, Jaycee Mani, Paige MacIntyre, Gabbie Hetzel, Lizzie Gscheidmeier, Emersen Hay, Ella Timm, and Hannah Uebele. These girls have put so much time, energy and effort into the program the last 4 years, it was a great night celebrating their many accomplishments. The varsity team defeated West Allie Hale 7-0. Goals were scored by Megan Grater, Jaycee Mani, Gabbie Hetzel, Paige MacIntyre, Mary Leininger, and Mila Schroeder. The varsity team finished the regular season 13-2 and 3rd in the GMC, earning the four seed for playoffs! The varsity team is back in action on Tuesday night (6/3) for the Regional Semifinal matchup against Fond du Lac at home, kickoff is 7:00 PM. Come out to support your Warhawks!
The softball team was 1-0-1 in the last week to raise their record to 16-3-1 on the season. They host Brookfield East on Tuesday in the Sectional Semifinal.

Madison Werner hit her team leading 10th home run of the season and Emmy Coulter was 2-4 with a triple to lead the Warhawks.

The Warhawks built a 5-0 lead over the first 4 innings and used a 7-run 5th inning to enact the mercy rule. Emmy Coulter (3-4, 2 R, 2 RBI, 2 SB) led the way on offense, with Ally Pentek (2-2, R, RBI), Julia Sina (2-2 2B, 2 R, RBI, SB), and Kayla Preiss (2-3, 2 2B, 2 R, RBI, SB) also notching multi-hit games.
Kylie Otto started in the circle and got the win, raising her record to 7-2. She pitched 4 2/3 innings and gave up 2 runs (both earned) on 4 hits and 3 walks while striking out 6. Alaina Williams threw 2 pitches to get the final out.
Last week Tuesday and Thursday the boys' tennis team competed in the Greater Metro Conference Tournament at Pleasant Valley and Brookfield East High School. The team fought hard in a conference stacked with high level competition in Brookfield Central, Brookfield East, Sussex Hamilton, and Menomonee Falls. The results were as follows:

On Saturday the team played in a Quadrangular against Waunakee, Cedarburg, and West Bend West. The team won 2 of their three duals with key players coming up clutch in big must-win moments. Evan Mikul came through against Waunakee to put the Warhawks in front 4-3. Arush Chopra won in an exhilarating yet nerve-wrenching fashion in three sets against West Bend West to put G-Town up 4-3. These matches helped us secure a 2nd place finish behind Cedarburg.

On Thursday, our 1 and 2 doubles teams played for spots in the state tournament that takes place next week. Unfortunately, Adam Emerson and Will Wagner faced Brookfield Academy (who won the entire sectional) and lost 3-6, 4-6 and the team hopes to get a special qualifier for them to attend the tournament next week.
James Goetter and Cooper Meinecke took 3rd place after losing to Wauwatosa West in a three set tiebreak 2-6, 6-0, 8-10 and they beat Nicolet in the 3rd place game 2-6, 6-4, 10-5. Cooper and James end their senior campaigns on comeback victory! :)
Adam Emerson at the Cedarburg Quad broke the school record for most doubles wins with 79 and was nominated for the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel Athlete of the Week for this accomplishment!
On Tuesday, May 27th, the Varsity team started their tournament series by competing in their Regional Meet hosted by Homestead. The boys scored 87 points to place 3rd out of 8 teams and the girls scored 85.5 points to place 5th out of 8 teams. Individuals and relay teams that placed in the top 4 of their event earned an opportunity to compete at the Sectional Meet. Congratulations to the following qualifying individuals and teams!
