Girls HockeyLakeshore Lightning won its final regular season game 5-2 over the Metro Lynx/Middleton Co-op Saturday in Verona to improve its record to 19-5 which is the 2nd most wins of any team in the State!  The 19 wins already sets an all-time program record for wins with more playoff games ahead to potentially increase that total.   The Lightning also was one of only 3 teams in the State to place in the top 8 teams in scoring, fewest goals allowed, goal differential, power play scoring percentage, and penalty kill scoring percentage.  Lakeshore hosts the opening Sectional game vs Arrowhead at the Ozaukee Ice Center on Thursday, February 19th at 6:45.

WrestlingLast Friday the Warhawks wrestled in the Greater Metro Conference tournament. At the end of the night, it had appeared that Germantown had fallen just short of the title but after a scoring issue was discovered, the Warhawks ended up tied with Sussex Hamilton for the title, making both teams co-champions! This is the Warhawks 5th straight conference title and 6th out of the last 7. Making the finals for Germantown were Kaden Uscola, Kellen Becker, Isaac Weber, Johnathan Marth, Jack Brukbacher, Isaac Momper and David Schultz. Jack Brukbacher and David Schultz both secured their 1st GMC title while Isaac Weber won his 2nd title. The road to the state tournament begins this weekend with the Girls Varsity traveling to Horicon High School and Boys Varsity traveling to Fond du Lac High School with the chance to punch their ticket to the state tournament.
