Warhawk Pride / Vol. 8, No 26

TrackThe Warhawk track and field teams opened the season with a beautiful 60-degree first practice! With the return of cold and snow, the team has embraced the indoor season and put together a strong first week of practices in the fieldhouse.

Girls Track and Field:

On Thursday, March 19th, the JV girls hosted the GTown Girls Indoor Quad. No team scores were taken, but it was a great start for both returners and newcomers!

On Saturday, March 21st, the Varsity girls traveled to UW-Whitewater to kick off the indoor season at the Nelson/Daniels Classic. The girls placed 4th out of 23 teams.

The Varsity girls hosted the GMC Indoor Championships on Tuesday, 3/24. There were strong performances in many events, the team placed 2nd overall!

Boys Track and Field

Meet MVP

The Varsity boys traveled to Brookfield East for the GMC Indoor Championships on Wednesday, 3/25. This meet proved to be a great opportunity for early season competition. Many athletes were able to improve their marks from the previous meet! Aiden Dykstra won the high jump event by setting a new GMC indoor conference meet record of 6’8”.

Best BuddiesBest Buddies had a March Madness meeting and teamed up with the basketball teams! Team members did a great job leading the passing, shooting, and dribbling stations. Everyone had a lot of fun!
